The idea should not be wanting to live forever, but to be fit and healthy as you age. I've seen too many cases of kyphosis, sarcopenia, and Trendelenburg gaits due to sedentary lifestyles and lack of proper exercise.

Excellent reporting, Jason. I wonder if Erewhon's olive oil also costs $37.

Jason, I appreciate your great reporting and gimlet eye, as always. I’ve not been to a Don’t Die Summit, but the content-light agenda you describe in the piece seems to underscore my feeling that, while perhaps earnest and evidence-based, DDS and Johnson are also building a cult of personality, whether intentional or not. I’d rather spend 3 hours at a nice, clean, well-appointed gym with a sauna and jacuzzi. Or even better, in the ocean (once the toxic ash settles). Thank you for your reporting.

Thanks Paul! I have to agree with you there. It's pretty fascinating that BJ is very forthright and non-allergic to the term cult because he wants to build an identity-bound community. Also, I know you've done some excellent writing on longevity over on your Substack, so readers should definitely check it out.
